Staff are your hosts here on Inheritance Gambit. They are also Players and held to all of our published Policies. Changes to their Character bits go through the same process as any other Player’s and Tickets are put in for requests for things such as plots, rooms on the game, and anything else that a standard Player would put a Ticket in on. This allows a clear record of all changes requested and approved.
Because of the added amount of information Staff has access to and control over the Website and Server they:
- Will not give out “personal” information on Players, such as email, IPs, locations and alts without documented permission.
- Will not use the “DARK” flag to ‘hide’ in rooms. The room parent-code will always show every connected player in a room, even if they are “DARK”.
As Players, Staff are also entitled to all of the benefits of being a Player, which means we do not require our Staff to divulge their alts. Even if a member of Staff is ‘public’ about their alts, their Player bits are just that. Player bits. They do not speak with the authority of Staff. That will always come from a Staff bit.
While any member of Staff would be glad to try and help you, not everyone has the same skillsets or information as the others. Please reference the following to see which staff members would best be able to help you with your needs:

This is the back-end of the game. The things that most people only notice when they’re broken. Talk to Systems staff about the following:
- Hardcode – This deals with TinyMUX 18.104.22.168 #1
- Typos or formatting (not content) in +help or news files
- Softcode – If it starts with a + (Like +finger, +who, +where etc) then it probably falls under this
- Building – Exits going to the wrong place? @desc missing on a room? This falls under Building.
- Webpage – This isn’t about webpage content. This is “I can’t log into the webpage”, “How do I edit my character page”, “I forgot my password” etc.
- Site – These are things that deal directly with our host or domain (6th-Age.net)
- Notifying the playerbase of any scheduled downtime
- Making sure the game/website is paid for
- Making sure the domain name is paid for
